Susan is a phenomenal leader for coaching and developing others. It was a pleasure working and collaborating with Susan through our Comcast Coach Diversity program. In our time together, we discussed career growth opportunities, how to enhance my leadership skillset and how to engage high performing teams. Susan is a coach, mentor and accountability partner all wrapped in one. Thanks, Susan, for your guidance and thought-provoking conversation to help me grow as a person, leader, and employee. I had the pleasure of adding Susan to our roster of Executive Coaches at Zymergen. Susan came highly recommended to me through a mutual coaching contact of ours, and from the first time Susan and I connected, I knew how great of a coach, thought partner, and collaborator she would be! Susan takes the time and care in her coaching practice to provide a holistic, competency based, coaching experience. From pre-work with the HR team, to onboarding a new client, to identifying measurable coaching impacts, the investment we made in Susan's coaching will payoff tenfold for our talent moving forward. I highly recommend Susan as an executive coach, and look forward to continuing to work with her!

I started working with Susan at a point when I was stuck. I was dealing with some tough interpersonal conflict at work, and honestly, I didn't know where I wanted my career to go. I just knew something needed to change.
What made me choose Susan was her approach: she doesn't just coach you on your career or work situation, she coaches *you*. She wanted to understand my strengths, what lights me up, what drains me, and what I actually care about. Looking back, that made all the difference. She helped me define leadership and growth in a way that was authentic to me and my purpose, not just what I thought I was supposed to want.
One conversation that really stuck with me was when she asked if I looked at any of my leadership team and thought, "I want their job." I realized... I didn't. And that wasn't a bad thing, it was actually clarifying. It helped me figure out what I actually wanted my version of product management to look like. What pulls me toward the work, and what I don't want to keep doing. That question shifted the entire direction of my career.
Another moment I think about often: Susan encouraged me to treat my birthday as my personal "new year" - a time to reflect on the past year and set goals for the next one. It sounds simple, but reframing it that way has been so much more meaningful for me than waiting for January 1st. It's become a ritual I look forward to.
Since working with Susan, I've landed a new role that's actually aligned with where I want to go. I have clearer tools for navigating workplace relationships and handling conflict. And I'm able to show up and lead in a way that feels like *me*, not some version of a leader I think I'm supposed to be. I won't lie: the coaching sessions were just the starting point. The real work happened in between, when I had to actually practice what we talked about. But Susan gave me the clarity and confidence to do that work.
Her coaching style is insightful and challenging, but also deeply supportive. She pushes you right to the edge of your comfort zone, but you always know she's got your back. She helped me see that growing isn't about fixing all my weaknesses, it's about investing in my strengths and leveraging them. And she reminded me that knowing what to do is only half the battle. Actually doing it? That's the harder part, and it's a skill in itself.
If you're on the fence about working with Susan, here's what I'd say: she's the kind of coach who will ask you the hard questions, hold you accountable, and help you grow, not just in your career, but in how you show up in your relationships at work and how you navigate power and influence. She'll challenge you, but she'll also champion you. And if you're ready to do the work, she'll help you get where you want to go.
